Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green rushed off to Hawaii to make it official in a small ceremony of friends and family. This is not a typical Hollywood or L.A. relationship though since the two have been together since 2004 which is like a decade in Tinseltown years. They dated and stayed together for over 6 years which is very impressive and shockingly normal. They met on the set of the show Hope and Faith and even years later still look to be blissfully happy together. This is the first marriage for both of them, but Brian has a child with his ex-girlfriend Vanessa Marcil.
TMZ just posted photos of the couple finally showing off their wedding rings on a beach excursion (shown here). There are some Hollywood relationships that seem doomed from the start, but considering that the couple have stayed in a healthy relationship for years before hitching the wagon is a fantastic jumpstart. All I can say is congratulations. Where the heck are the wedding photos?
The stories have been hot and heavy about the greatly anticipated engagement of Renee Zellweger and Bradley Cooper. Unfortunately, they aren’t true. While the two are most certainly dating, the rumor mills just couldn’t stop speculating. The madness started when Renee Zellweger was spotted searching for wedding dresses and then to make matters worse was then spotted with Bradley Cooper dining with her parents.
The beautiful couple had starred together in the film Case 39, and started dating back in July 2009, so they are creeping up on a year together which in Hollywood relationships is practically common law marriage. Regardless, Bradley gets a kick reading about how his love life is going from the tabloid rags, but reps from both parties say NO to saying YES.
Sometimes a couple is together for so long that you simply just can’t see them with anyone else. Such is the case with Valerie Bertinelli and Eddie Van Halen who were married for over 25 years until their official divorce in 2007 even though the papers were filed two years prior in 2005. The demise was primarily due to Eddie’s addiction to Coke which was the ultimatum set by Valerie. Eddie chose the Coke.
While Eddie wrestled his demons, Valerie had begun a relationship with her financial planner Tom Vitale in 2004. A disturbingly convenient person to have on your side during a divorce for sure. The relationship blossomed and as of yesterday during a trip to Florence, Italy, Tom proposed and Valerie accepted. Valerie told the press, “We’d talked about getting married, but I was still shocked. It was sweet when he asked me, because he was so scared. I was like, ‘Are you kidding me?’”
Tom will do the wedding planning since apparently he even has specific ideas about what type of bells should ring during the ceremony. Now that is a man in touch with his feminine side for sure. He was deathly nervous about asking her stating that, “If the time wasn’t right, I wouldn’t have asked. We’re both still a little afraid of commitment, but then we were over there, and it was like our souls were calibrated.” So ladies and gentlemen, a big congratulations are in order because Valerie, you deserve it!
So here they are in no particular order, the top 5 celebrity rumors of January 2010 and we kept the theme about celebrity wedding engagements this time around.

1) Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green Are Engaged
Ok, yeah. This one came onto the scene and then disappeared and now is back again. Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green are apparently engaged again and the rumor mills are a buzz. When asked about the engagement, Brian Austin Green noted on his Twitter account, “Engaged and have a son from my previous relationship.” Since then, the post was taken down and the account was also closed. There’s been no input from Megan’s camp.
The Verdict: False. While this would be a great boon for Green, Megan Fox is the most sought after actress not only in film, but also in her personal life. Everyone wants Megan Fox and she certainly knows that taking herself of the market is career suicide and part of what makes her sexy is because she’s available. It is certainly not her acting skills.

2) Paul McCartney and Nancy Shevell
Paul McCartney is rumored to be engaged to Nancy Shevell from New York City and they were just seen together at the Golden Globes. She’s known the McCartney family for over 20 years and comes from a wealthy family so she doesn’t have any need for Paul’s money in the shadow of a divorce with Heather Mills who walked away with $49 Million after the very nasty divorce. While friends and family had an issue with Paul’s ex Heather Mills, everyone loves Nancy including Paul’s 38 year old daughter.
Verdict: True. Let’s face it, Paul is an all or nothing type of guy and he has to be in a relationship to be happy. As he gets older, that desire simply isn’t going away. Family and friends have already bought into it, so if it isn’t true, it will be soon.

3) Miley Cyrus is Engaged to Liam Hemsworth
The rumor mill is abuzz about Miley Cyrus getting engaged to 20 year old Liam Hemsworth. This rumor got jumpstarted when Miley appeared at a Grammy Awards ceremony wearing an engagement ring. Ok, let’s go ahead and not even talk about this now.
Verdict: False.Heck no. Don’t believe it. Not only is she too young to get married, but her father would never let that happen at this stage of her career. I see her hitching the wagon about 10 years from now, but not right now.
4) Derek Jeter and Minka Kelly Are Engaged
Photo from MTV.com
Baseball hero Derek Jeter is rumored to be engaged to Minka Kelly, the actress from Friday Night Lights. The New York Post is even reporting that they already have the wedding venue picked out at the Oheka Castle. Sorry. While it seems like there’s enough evidence to back this up, I’m going to cry foul ball on this.
Verdict: False. This is one of those that could swing either way. No pun intended. But with all of the drama that follows Derek Jeter on a regular basis and his well documented exploits, I find it hard to believe that he’s getting engaged this quickly jumping into a relationship of this magnitude. So, I’ll say false for now, but maybe true later on in the year.

5) Russell Brand and Katy Perry
Comedian/Actor Russell Brand and singer Katy Perry supposedly are planning to tie the knot. These two are certifiably insane and made for each other, but are they really engaged? While the couple has been seen attached at the hip at multiple events, it’s not known if the relationship is anything more than just that.
Verdict: hmmm, False. While they may be in a relationship, I’m not buying the engagement. They may have talked about it and even wear rings, but the two of them are individually unstable, so I don’t see this working out.
If these rumors were true, and some of them just may be, which one do you actually care about?
So there you have it. I’ll gather more engagement rumors for February 2010 for you.
True Blood star, Anna Pacquin, 27, is engaged to her True Blood co-star Stephen Moyer, 39, but they are not in any rush whatsoever to hit the aisle. Anna recently told press that, “We’re not planning the wedding yet. I’m not really that girl, we’re not really that couple. We’re happy and things are good and we’re not on any particular schedule and it’ll happen when we have time.”
Stephen apparently feels exactly the same as they enjoy their success and focusing on planning a wedding is just not on the radar right now. Good thing because Anna is also terrified of thinking about being in a poofy wedding dress and just isn’t that type of girl.
“It feels organic. It’s more about being family than becoming Bridezilla overnight and wearing some big meringue wedding dress. That would scare the s**t out of me. I wasn’t the girl who spent hours dreaming of my wedding.”
So while they enjoy spending good quality time together as an engaged couple, True Blood fans will simply have to wait if they want to see the love bleed over into the real world. No pun intended.
Jim Halpert and Pam Beesly from the TV series “The Office” are officially getting married during the fourth episode of the upcoming season of The Office and the hi-jinks of Dunder Mifflin. The final episode of last season found the couple getting engaged and also announcing Pam’s pregnancy. While NBC has been mum on the details of the wedding ceremony, visitors to Niagara Falls in New York were pleasantly surprised to find the couple shooting the scene and shared some information about what they saw.
The scene was shot on the Maid of The Mist 4 and both were decked out in full wedding attire. Pam (played by Jenna Fischer) was dressed in an empire waist bridal gown “with beaded trim and white boots” and Jim (played by John Krasinski) “donned a black tuxedo with a boutonniere with two white flowers.” according to Buffalo News.
The scene was filmed in two parts which will also take place over two episodes and that will begin airing October 8th. Scenes were shot in front of the Red Coach Inn, which was renamed the Statler Falls Hotel, under a sign that said “Prepare to Falls in Love”. Another on the Maid of the Mist boat where they had to start wearing a blue poncho to keep from getting wet because of the heavy mist from the Falls. Tuesday and Wednesday, the area was scouted out by staff 3 weeks earlier and they barely got misted at all. Not the case during a Thursday filming, where they pretty much got soaked to the skin. Luckily, Fischers make up was waterproof so that she could stay pretty on her Big Day. Most of the two part episode was shot in Los Angeles in a restaurant and chapel scene.
HD owners will probably notice a downgraded picture for these episodes because they couldn’t use the HD cameras in this environment and had to downgrade to a 16mm camera that uses a spinning device to keep the water off of the lens.
In real life, Krasinski is engaged to “The Devil Wears Prada” actress Emily Blunt who he’s been dating since November 2008. Fischer also got engaged during a trip to Europe to Lee Kirk who she’s been dating since January 2008.
Renee Zellweger, 40 and Bradley Cooper 34 have been spotted in several occasions (outside of the United States) spending quality time together in various locales including Barcelona, Spain recently. The couple who are appearing together in a horror movie called Case 39 have been doing everything to cover up their romance and keep it private, but reports from Glamorati indicate that Bradley took Renee up to his hometown in Pennsylvania to introduce her to his parents and that the engagement is very real.
Zellweger was also seen wearing an engagement ring, but managed to take it off when she appeared on Late Night with David Letterman on August 20th. As for picking out any wedding dresses, the couple still isn’t talking even though a source close to the couple indicates that it’s indeed true.
This will be Renee’s second marriage. She was married to country music star Kenny Chesney from May to December of 2005. He also had the “under one year” marriage to actress Jennifer Esposito from December of 2006 to April 2007 and was officially divorced as of November of 2007.
Well, apparently there is no wedding planning in the works for 21 year old Zac Efron who revealed to the April issue of GQ (on sale April 21) “I’m definitely not getting married.” This may be a shock to girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens when he expanded on the comment by saying, “”I’m not getting married until I’m 40. If ever.” On Disney Channel this past week, a write-in fan asked if it was love at first sight with Vanessa when they started working together on High School Musical and he confirmed that indeed it was.
This statement was spawned to quell people that caught National Enquirer releasing a rumor that Zac proposed to Vanessa while the two were in Japan. The magazine was quoted as saying, “Zac… proposed to Vanessa during a joint trip to Japan in late January, say sources. The two are planning a long engagement and will tie the knot in 2010.
Zac hasn’t given Vanessa a ring yet, say sources – but he’s hoping the proposal will buy him some time with Vanessa’s super-strict mom, Gina, who didn’t approve of the sweethearts living together before they were married.”
There are even online rumors that the date is already scheduled for September in Hawaii for a beach wedding.
Zac and Vanessa have been seen off and on together, but if their relationship is still on, they’re doing a great job keeping it under wraps to quell these rumors. Especially following a racy photo shoot of Zac Efron and a naked female model for the April issue of Interview magazine leaving very little to the imagination.
As for the getting married comment, Zac says, “In this business, you’re either getting married or they want you to be pregnant” and he’s primarily steering clear of anything that could derail his career. After a very successful interview on David Letterman on April 13, people have begun to realize that Zac is the real deal. And apparently he has his head screwed on right in the drug column also taking the advice of fellow actor Leonardo DiCaprio who told Zac, “There’s one way that you can really f**k this all up. Just do heroin. If you steer clear of that—the other obstacles you’ll be able to navigate.” Zac took that advice to heart and so for now, the biggest Hollywood drugs (heroin and marriage) are definitely out. Supposedly.
Every little girl dreams of that special moment where her man gets down on one knee. But as girls grow up, they tend to wish for something a bit more creative, something unique to share with friends and family and remember for a lifetime. Here are a few bright ideas for that big moment (in case he’s reading):
Tie your proposal into a holiday
Although the major holidays have passed and are a bit passe, there is still Valentine’s Day! Too expected, too easy? Wait for Easter and give her an Easter egg hunt that she’s never forget – one with the ring at the end. Did you meet in a bar? Are you Irish? Drop the ring into the bottom of a stein of green beer for St Patrick’s Day. Do you get dressed up at Halloween? Give her a treat she’ll never forget! An unexpected holiday gift (on a date that doesn’t traditionally involve a gift exchange) can be a sweet surprise!
Make your own holiday Any woman would LOVE to be swept off her feet and taken to a romantic destination. Relax and enjoy for a few days, then a day or so before you leave plan an excursion and pop the question on location – and you still have time to celebrate!
Creative note Spell out the big question somewhere she would never expect it: on the bathroom mirror when she gets ready for a night out together; glow in the dark stars on the bedroom ceiling; take one of her favorite weekly magazines and slip in a fake page for your proposal. Even plan ahead with an art gallery to place a special work of art into a room for her to see – the question becomes a keepsake. Find a place you know she’ll go and pop the question.
Take a trip down memory lane Take your significant other to the place where you met, had your first date, kiss, or another location that has special meaning to you as a couple and recreate that first moment. Express your feelings from start to finish and take your courtship full circle.
Surprise her Though it may seem spur-of-the-moment, pick a spot where you can completely catch her off guard. Maybe in a photo booth so you have pictures of her response, as an announcement in a public place, or slip it in the advertisements before a movie you are seeing.
Spy Cameras No matter where you ask, ask someone to capture it on film. Videography companies now offer proposal packages that allow you to capture the moment, her reaction, and answer on camera. They will hide out, blend in, and not be seen by your bride-to-be until the moment has past and you’ve got a keepsake to keep for a lifetime.
No matter what you do, be creative and make sure it’s right for her! If she’s shy, don’t make a big scene at a ballpark; if she’s the outdoors type, consider an adventure; if she’s a Disney fan, take her to where her fairytale can unfold. Think of your soon-to-be fiancé when planning and the answer will surely be “yes!”
And once you get the hard part done, it’s time for the wedding planning and that’s where the real fun begins….
