So what celebrities got engaged during the month of November 2009? And does anyone really care? Of course we do! Hey, weddings are a big deal around here.
1) Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart
While most twilight fanatics are screaming foul play and refuse to believe it’s true, Robert Pattinson confirmed the rumor as true to Matt Lauer on the Today Show. However, some say that even though he admitted it, that it was done jokingly and that it probably won’t happen because he’s been pretty much dating non-stop and it just doesn’t seem realistic. Well, believe it Team Edward fans. There’s even been a lot of “I’ll believe it when I see it” stances as well. You gals are hardcore about this man. He’s on the market until he says I Do! – Source
2) Hulk Hogan & Jennifer McDaniel
Assuming that he actually does know best, the Hulkster has decided to get engaged to a woman who disturbingly looks like a hybrid of his ex and his daughter. Hulk Hogan pointed out the engagement ring to TMZ photographers at the LAX airport and said that she could be the next Mrs. Hogan. Her name is Jennifer McDaniel and she even showcased a “lovely” tattoo of his first name (Terry) that she had tattooed on her right wrist. The couple has been dating since 2008 which is only 4 months after Hulk’s divorce from Linda Bollea. Some guys never learn. – Source
3) Chelsea Clinton & Mark Mezvinsky
Being the daughter of a former president qualifies for you for celebrity status. When photographers follow you to the bathroom stall, you’re a celebrity. Chelsea made the announcement via email during Thanksgiving to friends and family. The couple met in Washington DC and have been dating since 2005. They simmered the relationship at Stanford University and he’s now an investment banker while Chelsea finishes up her studies at Columbia. – Source
4) Penelope Cruz & Javier Bardem
While Penelope Cruz refuses to confirm the rumor, we’re going to push it as fact simply because she refuses to deny it. When asked directly by David Letterman during her late night appearance if she was engaged, she simply said that she refused to discuss her private life. But when she appeared at a premiere with a sapphire and diamond engagement ring on her ring finger, it was her way of letting people into her private life. Women get ridiculously excited when they get engaged, so this was her way of publicly gushing. If she simply said, “I’m not engaged”, then that would have been that, but the very denial is a confession! So stop being silly Penelope. We’re actually still happy you didn’t stay with Tom Cruise. – Source
5) Jensen Ackles & Danneel Harris

The Supernatural star Jensen Ackles has confirmed that he and longtime girlfriend Danneel Harris from One Tree Hill are finally engaged. Even though the public says that it doesn’t appear that there’s a lot of passion between them, source from both parties have confirmed the rumor. The couple have been dating for about 3 years now, but have been friends for almost a decade. He confirmed it to JustJared.com and she confirmed it on her Twitter account. – Source

Playboy Bunny Stephanie Adams is engaged to…a man. ‘The Man” wasn’t named, but the big deal is that Stephanie is a lesbian and even came out at a Pride parade, so that’s why they simply say “a man”. Hey, it happens. Can you say “Anne Heche”? SheWired.com

Know of any November wedding engagements we missed? That’s what the comment box below is for. But which one of these top 5 engagements is the biggest deal to you?
True Blood star, Anna Pacquin, 27, is engaged to her True Blood co-star Stephen Moyer, 39, but they are not in any rush whatsoever to hit the aisle. Anna recently told press that, “We’re not planning the wedding yet. I’m not really that girl, we’re not really that couple. We’re happy and things are good and we’re not on any particular schedule and it’ll happen when we have time.”
Stephen apparently feels exactly the same as they enjoy their success and focusing on planning a wedding is just not on the radar right now. Good thing because Anna is also terrified of thinking about being in a poofy wedding dress and just isn’t that type of girl.
“It feels organic. It’s more about being family than becoming Bridezilla overnight and wearing some big meringue wedding dress. That would scare the s**t out of me. I wasn’t the girl who spent hours dreaming of my wedding.”
So while they enjoy spending good quality time together as an engaged couple, True Blood fans will simply have to wait if they want to see the love bleed over into the real world. No pun intended.
Jim Halpert and Pam Beesly from the TV series “The Office” are officially getting married during the fourth episode of the upcoming season of The Office and the hi-jinks of Dunder Mifflin. The final episode of last season found the couple getting engaged and also announcing Pam’s pregnancy. While NBC has been mum on the details of the wedding ceremony, visitors to Niagara Falls in New York were pleasantly surprised to find the couple shooting the scene and shared some information about what they saw.
The scene was shot on the Maid of The Mist 4 and both were decked out in full wedding attire. Pam (played by Jenna Fischer) was dressed in an empire waist bridal gown “with beaded trim and white boots” and Jim (played by John Krasinski) “donned a black tuxedo with a boutonniere with two white flowers.” according to Buffalo News.
The scene was filmed in two parts which will also take place over two episodes and that will begin airing October 8th. Scenes were shot in front of the Red Coach Inn, which was renamed the Statler Falls Hotel, under a sign that said “Prepare to Falls in Love”. Another on the Maid of the Mist boat where they had to start wearing a blue poncho to keep from getting wet because of the heavy mist from the Falls. Tuesday and Wednesday, the area was scouted out by staff 3 weeks earlier and they barely got misted at all. Not the case during a Thursday filming, where they pretty much got soaked to the skin. Luckily, Fischers make up was waterproof so that she could stay pretty on her Big Day. Most of the two part episode was shot in Los Angeles in a restaurant and chapel scene.
HD owners will probably notice a downgraded picture for these episodes because they couldn’t use the HD cameras in this environment and had to downgrade to a 16mm camera that uses a spinning device to keep the water off of the lens.
In real life, Krasinski is engaged to “The Devil Wears Prada” actress Emily Blunt who he’s been dating since November 2008. Fischer also got engaged during a trip to Europe to Lee Kirk who she’s been dating since January 2008.
Wedding rings aren’t cheap and they signify something a tad more important than just being jewelry. While Jon Gosselin is off partying with Lindsay Lohan’s father in the Hamptons for some reason, his wife Kate has put her ring back on. Apparently Kate is trying to keep herself together and her kids heads on straight. She is the only glue in these kids lives, so why she’s still wearing the ring is a mystery.
On the flip side, LeeAnn Rimes who was caught in a scandalous affair with costar Eddie Cibrian has separated from her husband and has decided to finally take her wedding band off. As a result, Cibrian’s wife has apparently decided to take a marital break also since the affair was uncovered by the press.
While divorce seems to be the hip new trend in Hollywood, many people have begun to notice that when you invite cameras into your home, divorce is closely behind. Just ask Jon and Kate (Jon and Kate Plus Eight), Hulk Hogan (Hogan Knows Best), Nick and Jessica (Newlyweds), Carmen Electra and Dave Navarro (Til Death Do Us Part), Britney and Kevin (Chaotic), Travis and Shanna (Meet The Barkers), Whitney and Bobby (Being Bobby Brown), and Danny and Gretchen (Breaking Bonaduce). There are very few marriages that have withstood the glare of the lights and walked away unscathed. Hail Snoop!
While Americans have an insatiable appetite for reality television that invades the lives of interesting characters, at what cost is enough too much? Is it necessary that we see how celebrities live, what they eat, what brand of toilet paper they use, and to see every argument and failure? Is it to prove to ourselves that they are just like us by watching them fail in various aspects of their lives? Is it to live vicariously through them by following them on shopping sprees, drinking binges and temper tantrums? What is the fascination that keeps the ratings skyrocketing and ruining lives and marriages one after the other? While to some degree TV and movie stars are “asking for it” and give up their privacy to some extent when they sign on for the job, where is the line to be drawn and will we ever be able to draw it?
Jennifer Hudson from American Idol and star of Dreamgirls and her fiance David Otunga from I Love New York 2 have finally set a date to hitch the wagon, but they refuse to give away the date. “..it’s a secret. I can’t tell anybody”, Jennifer told Ryan Seacrest. Dang. Park the helicopters, I guess.
The couple has been engaged since September when the singer turned 27 on her birthday and she began donning a huge rock. The couple had plans to marry last year when tragedy struck as her mother, brother and nephew were tragically murdered. As if anyone can recover from such a horrible event, she made an appearance singing the national anthem at the Super Bowl in rare form (and supposedly lip-synching). But she seemed strong and now months later, about to be officially married.
So, wedding planning is obviously on Jen’s “Things To Do” list now as she now must start the search for wedding invitations, wedding favors, honeymoon vacations and the other details. I’m sure she’ll use the free wedding planning tools at Get Married. I mean, apparently there’s a lot of money in reality television, but everyone’s got to cut corners.
If you’re looking for details about the sex scandal, that’s here. The post below is not about that.
After over 23 years of being with the same woman, David Letterman has finally hitched the wagon with Regina Lasko, the mother of his son Harry, born in 2003. The couple started dating in 1986 and Letterman joked, “Well, things are going pretty good, let’s just see what happens in about ten years.” A bachelor for most of his life, he finally decided that it was time.
But there was no need for wedding planning as the couple head to the Teton County Courthouse in Choteau, Montana and sealed the deal on Thursday at 3 PM on March 19, 2009. David pondered, “I had avoided getting married pretty good for, like, 23 years, and I – honestly, whether this happened or not – I secretly felt that men who were married admired me…like I was the last of the real gunslingers, you know what I’m saying?”.
